Is Your Website Going Down?

Is your website in danger of taking a hit? Well, if you’ve got a Google Maps free website, brace yourself – the answer is yes! Google’s dropping the bomb that websites created with Google Business Profiles are about to get the lights turned off. So, what’s the scoop for your business? You’re looking at being left with just a business profile page, and your customers won’t be able to swing by a website to dig into more details about your awesome services.

Picture this: Google Business Profiles are basic landing pages that get their info from your Business Profile. But here’s the kicker – come March 2024, the websites created with Google Business Profiles are getting the plug pulled. Your customers will expect to check out your website and be redirected to your Business Profile page instead. And this redirect party is set to roll until June 10, 2024. After that date, customers will get a “page not found” error when attempting to visit your website.

Oh, and heads up! If your domain wraps up with business.site or negocio.site, that’s getting the boot from the website field on your Business Profile in March. Our friendly suggestion? It’s time to give your Google Business Profile a little makeover – update it with the link to your brand-new website.
